Sean practices exclusively in criminal law, and has done so for the past 25 years. Sean obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from York University. He obtained his Law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. Sean was called to the Bar in Ontario by the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1996.

Sean was attracted to the area of criminal law because he believes it is, arguably, the most challenging and indeed the most interesting field of legal practice. He has conducted many trials, ranging in charges from impaired driving to aggravated assault. Sean has first hand experience at how encompassing the legal profession can become in one’s life, and that is why he pursues other interests such as playing squash, weight training and spending time with his adored cats. Sean also has a passion for reading works that are unrelated to criminal law, but which nonetheless examines important issues that are worthy of reflection.

Sean now specializes in criminal law. He is a firm advocate of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, as he believes defence lawyers are first and foremost constitutional lawyers since they strive to protect the very rights guaranteed to all Canadians by the Charter.
